About
Hello, my name is Christopher Holder, and I am in my third semester in the MSW program here at FSU. I am currently employed at the Department of Children and Families (DCF) for the past 15 years as a Child Protective Investigator Supervisor (CPIS). I also am a Literacy Program Specialist with the Jacksonville Public Library (JPL), teaching GED. Before joining JPL, I taught GED at the Florida State College of Jacksonville for 13 years. So I protect the vulnerable during the day and educate others at night, and I enjoy what I do because it makes my life feel meaningful. As a CPIS for DCF, I have received many recognitions and awards for going above and beyond to protect children. My most recent award was given to me last month for Supervisor of the Year for 2022 and Unit of the Year 2022 in Duval county. I have excellent leadership skills and am very influential in getting the best out of an individual through positive reinforcement.
