| Project Synopsis: Challenge/Opportunity | A Rosie Place for Children is Indiana‘s only licensed, not-for-profit, specialty hospital dedicated exclusively to serving the growing number of families with children who are medically fragile. Children who are medically fragile require a skilled level of care to meet their everyday needs. A Rosie Place serves all 92 Indiana counties. Situated on five beautiful acres in South Bend, Indiana, our home is warm, spacious, and colorful featuring nature-inspired themes. A Rosie Place for Children is a home away from home where there are special activities for each child and relationships are built. Children who are medically fragile come to A Rosie Place for up to 10 nights at a time for respite stays. During this time, parents are given the gift of time to go on a date night, experience fun activities with their healthy children or enjoy much needed rest. We also host special events throughout the year, families (parents, fragile children, and siblings) are given opportunities to connect with others in a supportive environment and central location. The MSM Interterm project is a market analysis to help the organization assess the opportunity and resources needed to open a second facility near Indianapolis. The MSM project is based in South Bend meeting with the organization here locally.
