| Project Synopsis: Challenge/Opportunity | The Inteleos Foundation is working to close critical diagnostic gaps in global health systems by scaling access to high-quality ultrasound. Through our Imaging for Impact Accelerator, we host a social enterprise incubator for community health workers (referred to as ambassadors). The Ambassadors have developed sustainable, community-driven ultrasound interventions in 19 countries to address the lack of access to medical imaging. The Inteleos Foundation recently drafted an impact measurement framework to monitor and evaluate the success of our Imaging Accelerator. Our current challenge is to operationalize and test the framework by developing a practical, scalable strategy that can be used across a variety of global clinical practice settings. This effort includes establishing data collection processes, determining baseline metrics with each ambassador and their community-driven pilot project, aligning with local health ministries and governments, and creating systems for continuous learning and impact evaluation. We are seeking support from the NYU Wagner Capstone team to test, evaluate, and refine our impact measurement strategy, ensuring our ambassadors are equipped with the data infrastructure, implementation resources, and strategic partnerships needed to drive sustainable health system interventions.
| Project Synopsis: Activities/Actions Required | To operationalize our impact measurement framework, we anticipate a mix of strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and program design activities. The NYU Wagner Capstone team would play a critical role in helping us build the infrastructure needed to test, scale, and evaluate the Impact Accelerator across multiple regions. Key activities may include:
These activities will help ensure that each of our 19 programs are grounded in community needs, progress and impact are consistently tracked, and all ambassadors are able to scale their projects—ultimately, driving access to ultrasound globally.
| Project Synopsis: Expected Results | Success for this project would mean moving from concept to execution in a way that empowers our ambassadors, strengthens our capacity for monitoring and evaluating impact, and validates the value of the framework we’ve designed. A primary outcome would be the creation of a clear and actionable implementation plan that can be piloted through one of our regional Health Hubs. We would look to test this plan in practice to assess its feasibility and effectiveness, and use those insights to refine the model before broader rollout across all 19 nations. In addition, we hope to produce a comprehensive stakeholder map and accompanying engagement materials, such as a promotional pitch deck, outreach strategy, and advocacy tools for the Accelerator. These resources would help us secure long-term support from ministries of health, funders, and implementation partners. Other measurable results include the development of evaluation tools aligned with key framework indicators, internal planning documents that identify resourcing and staffing needs, and defined early-stage success metrics that can be monitored as each pilot moves forward. Together, these outcomes will form the foundation for long-term scale and sustainability of the Impact Accelerator.
