Julia Gabor holds a master’s in Educational Leadership from Antioch University. Her thesis topic was teacher effectiveness and student engagement. She has received multiple awards for her outstanding contribution to education communities across the nation from agencies such as: CAL STATE Fullerton, U.S. Representative for California's 46th congressional district, Lou Correa and the BOOST Collaborative. Julia has presented at distinguished conferences such as ASCD, CCSA, National Title 1 (ESEA), International TESOL, National Afterschool Association, BOOST and several others. 

 

Julia’s passion and expertise are in program development and implementation in areas of 21st-century skills, social-emotional learning, and youth development. Julia held several exciting positions at the Afterschool All Stars, TGR Foundation, WRiTE BRAiN BOOKS and newly is the Founder of kid-grit. 

 

Julia has launched a national college internship program for sports management, hospitality and marketing majors from universities across the country. Additionally, she developed and managed a mentor program for over 100 first-generation college students, attending private and liberal art universities. She also managed a national character education program called Tiger's Action Plan (TAP). TAP served close to 10 million students from 2003-2009. TAP is a free youth development curriculum that focuses on leadership, goal setting, service learning and career exploration. 

 

Julia designs, trains and facilitates workshops for educators, small businesses, mentor volunteers, and student workshops. She loves to create unique implementations for educational communities that enhance student success and aids them towards a productive future. She has also served as a trainer/facilitator in disguised learning and cultural diversity throughout California. Julia has the honor of serving on the board of directors for three non-profits: PCE Solutions and the LEAF Foundation, as well the Inspired All- Stars Council.
