NEP Share, our cloud-based media asset management (MAM) solutions, already provides live feed content ingestion, management, and distribution solutions to our global media clients (rights holders, broadcasters, and corporations). Are there growth opportunities for NEP to sell the same live video MAM solutions to non-media client segments (e.g., security, military, education, government)?

NEP is looking for the MBA Consulting Team to provide data-driven insights into potential non-media client segments via market/competitor benchmarking analysis and provide go-to-market strategy recommendations for NEP Share. Here are some sample questions to think about:
 
  • Market analysis
    • For each client segment, how big are these potential non-media client segments for NEP?
    • What live video MAM solutions do these companies use today?
    • What do they like and dislike about current solutions? 
    • What solutions matter the most to them – product features, pricing, cross-platform integration, analytics, security, etc.?
    • Which 1-2 client segments could be the best target for NEP?
    • What are the market trends and risks/opportunities for NEP to consider entering these markets?

  • Competitor benchmarking analysis
    • For each client segment, who are the live video MAM leaders serving these non-media markets?
    • What geographies do they serve?
    • Who are their major clients? 
    • What are their value propositions/unique selling points (USPs)?
    • What features do they offer? What other additional value/services do they offer?
    • What is the general perception of them in the industry?
    • What are they doing well? What are they not doing well?
    • What is their pricing? What about industry average price points?
    • How big is their business? (Revenue and Employee Size)
    • Which percentage of the market do they have?

  • GTM strategy recommendations
    • What are the problems NEP Share is solving? 
    • How are competitors solving them today?
    • Who are the NEP Share target customers? Geographies/segments? What are they willing to pay for our solution?
    • What are NEP Share value propositions / USPs?
    • Is there a demand for NEP Share or is the market oversaturated?
    • Given these are non-media markets, what does NEP need to do to enter these markets vs. what we current do today (high level recommendations on product messaging/positioning, pricing, sales channel, capabilities/organization needs, etc.)?
Project Synopsis: Expected Results
NEP is looking to the MBA Consulting Team to bring a unique perspective and provide high-value, data-driven insights into this project. It is important to NEP for the students to work as a team, figure out how to develop an approach to accomplish project results, and have fun while doing it in Southern California, the media and entertainment capital of the world.
